The Lost Pages is a hilarious fantasy adventure through all the most famous fairy tales, as experienced by the Chosen One and Prophesied Savior of the Worlds, the Phantom Fairy. Think of the interlacing stories of Once Upon a Time and the style of Deadpool, but with the all-ages humor of Shrek. The creator/writer, Joshua Branson Barker, has brought these stories to life through a published book, The Lost Pages of Cinderella: 24-Hour Assassination Operation, as well as five stage plays that have been produced by Encore! Tulsa.
We welcome all ages (except no babies/toddlers, please) to attend this open call. We are seeking a diverse cast, plus people with unique abilities, such as sword-fighting, horseback riding, magicians, dancers, animal handlers, etc. We are also seeking people with unique filming locations, props, costumes, animals, wagons, and other fairy tale/renaissance-era resources who would like to see them featured in these projects. Those who aren't interested in performing, but wish to contribute, may contact us in lieu of the in-person casting call.
Actors may attend the open call anytime between 11:30am and 2:30pm on April 14. The casting team will gather your contact information and clothing sizes, take your photo, and put you on camera for a brief interview. If you have a headshot and/or resume, we encourage you to bring them. The process will only take a few minutes.
Some actors may be contacted to schedule an audition for a principal role, while others may be cast in featured/extra roles solely from this open call. All actors interested in working on this project should submit their contact information to receive updates and audition announcements, regardless of whether you are able to attend this open call.
Filming will take place in May, June, and July in/near Tulsa, Oklahoma. The film will premiere in late Summer 2018 at a local movie theater, then will be released as individual episodes on YouTube shortly thereafter.
